Internet and Cell Service
If you work remote, take call, or just need a video call with home to not fall apart, this is usually the question that decides the park. Here is the honest answer for ours.
Your Own Private Network at Every Site
Every pad at Gryptid has its own WiFi network with its own name and its own password. Not a shared park network with a code taped to the office window. Yours is yours, nobody else in the park is on it, and your traffic is not sharing a network with the rig next door.
It runs on business fiber into commercial grade equipment rather than a consumer router doing its best. Included with your site, no extra charge, no daily code, no sign in page to fight with every morning.

Cell Service at the Park
We are in Evensville, in Rhea County, out between Dayton and Spring City. Cell coverage along this stretch is genuinely uneven. It changes from carrier to carrier, it changes between the two towns, and it changes again when you come off the highway into the country where we are. The numbers you find online are measured in town, and in town is not here.
So rather than send you to a coverage map, here is what we have actually seen with a phone in hand, standing at the sites.
Verizon — Good
This is what we run ourselves, here, every day, and it is flawless on site. If you are on Verizon you can stop reading this section.
T-Mobile — Weak
Not good here, and we would rather say so than let you find out on your first night. It is not a dealbreaker, but read the next bit before you book.
Those are the two we can speak to from experience. We will add carriers to this list as we learn them, rather than guess at them — if you are on something else, call and ask, and tell us what you end up seeing once you are here. That is how this list gets better.
If your carrier is the weak one here, this is the part that matters: turn on WiFi calling and let the fiber carry it.
That is the real answer for most people. WiFi calling is a setting in your phone, it takes about thirty seconds to turn on, and once it is on your calls and texts route over your site’s network instead of hunting for a tower. It is the part of this we control and the part we can stand behind. Most guests who work from here end up leaving it on and forgetting about it.
If You Work From the Rig
A good share of our guests are working while they are here, whether that is remote work, being on call, or catching up on training between shifts. The setup handles video calls. What we would tell you honestly: park the rig so the pad’s access point has a clear line to you, and if you have a hard requirement, ask us before you book rather than after.
