The Park Itself
Do you have a bathhouse or laundry?
Not yet. Every site has full hookups, so you are using your own shower and your own tank. A bathhouse and laundry are next on the build list and we are working toward them, but we are not going to put a date on it and pretend otherwise.
How big are the sites?
Each pad is 20 feet by 35 feet of level gravel, with about twenty feet of open ground between you and the next site. Tell us your length and whether you have slides and we will tell you straight whether it works.
How many sites are there?
Four. That is the whole park, and it is on purpose. Sasquatch, Wendigo, Mothman and Thunderbird.
How private is it?
Four sites on open ground, spaced well apart. There are no packed rows, no through traffic past your site, and quiet hours from ten at night until seven in the morning. It is a small park in a country setting, not a resort with a hundred rigs.
Is there shade?
There are mature trees around the edges of the property, and the pads themselves sit on open ground. Adding shade is something we are actively working on. In the meantime, ask us about the site you are considering and we will tell you exactly what it gets through the day.
Staying Here
What does it cost?
Monthly is $450 plus metered electricity. Weekly is $250 all inclusive. Daily is $65 all inclusive. A $125 electrical deposit is due at reservation and is fully refundable. Full rates and terms are on the Rates page.
How is electricity billed?
Every site has its own meter. You pay for what you actually use, and the base rate is not padded to cover a neighbor running two air conditioners.
How long can I stay?
As long as you like. Monthly is what the park is built around and we work best with stays of ninety days or longer. Weekly and daily stays are welcome when a site is open.
Can I get mail and packages here?
Yes. Each site has its own mailbox at the road. On a stay of a few months that matters more than people expect, and general delivery gets old fast.
Is there WiFi?
Yes, high speed, included. Every site has its own separate network with its own login. Nobody else in the park is on yours. If you take calls or work out of the rig, this is the part that usually matters most.
Are pets allowed?
Yes, with a pen or a leash.
How many vehicles can I have?
Two per site, unless we work something out ahead of time.
Getting Here and Booking
How do I check availability?
Call 423-602-3085, email kurt@gryptidrvpark.com, or use the booking link. With four sites, availability moves around, so the fastest answer is usually a phone call. If we are full we can put you on the waitlist.
What should I tell you when I ask?
Roughly when you want to move in and how long you expect to stay, the length of your rig and whether it has slides, how many people and vehicles, and any pets. That lets us give you a straight answer instead of a back and forth.
What is the road in like?
All the roads in are paved and in good condition. Pleasant Road has some rolling hills and a couple of narrow spots, so take it slow and stay on your side. Call before you arrive with a big rig and we will walk you through the approach. The full directions are on the Location page.
Where exactly are you?
1702 Pleasant Road, Evensville, TN 37332. About ten miles from Dayton and ten from Spring City on US-27, and roughly fifteen minutes from Watts Bar.
I am here for work. Does that fit?
That is a good part of who stays here. Watts Bar is about fifteen minutes up the road, Sequoyah about fifty, and Kingston and Oak Ridge inside an hour and a quarter. There is a whole page for it: Monthly Stays.
