Leveling the Ground and Rocking the Drive

After stretching the pads and widening the drive, the next step at Gryptid RV Park was all about getting things level and solid. The original sites were uneven — some sloped, some sunken — and a few had drainage issues that just wouldn’t work for long-term use.

So we brought in equipment and started grading the entire area. Each pad was leveled out by hand and machine until it sat just right. We wanted every guest, no matter their rig size, to be able to pull in, park, and set up without a fight. No more digging for blocks or chasing levelers — just smooth, even ground from the start.

Once the grading was done, we moved on to rocking the pads and the main drive. New gravel went down thick, packed in tight, and rolled to give it a solid base. The old drive had been rough and narrow, but with fresh rock and proper shaping, it’s starting to look like a real park road again.

The difference is night and day. Clean lines, level ground, and solid footing all around. It’s not glamorous work, but it’s the kind that transforms a property — and it’s one more big step toward making Gryptid RV Park a peaceful, easy-to-enjoy spot for every traveler who pulls in.
