Widening the Drive and Stretching the Pads

One of the biggest upgrades on our to-do list at Gryptid RV Park has been space. The old layout was cramped, short pads, and barely enough room for bigger rigs to maneuver without breaking a sweat.

So, we decided to fix that the right way. First up, widening the main drive through the park. More width means easier access, smoother pull-ins, and less stress for guests backing in or pulling through. RVers shouldn’t have to fight the road just to park.

Next, we started stretching out the pads. The old sites were about 30 feet long — fine for smaller trailers, but not for today’s machines. Our new standard is 40 feet total — 20 feet for the pad and another 20 feet of space between sites for privacy and breathing room.

We’ve been grading, leveling, and reshaping the ground to make it all happen. It’s real work, but the kind that transforms everything. Now, every site has more space, and that open country feel we want guests to experience from the moment they pull in.
