Taming the Jungle — Site Cleanup at Gryptid RV Park

When we first arrived at Gryptid RV Park, the place looked more like a field than a campground. The grass was well over three feet tall, thick and tangled, hiding the pads and swallowing the walkways. You couldn’t even see where one site ended and the next began

We Made Some Progress

So, we made it priority number one to clean things up. Out came the mowers, weed eaters, and a whole lot of sweat equity. It took days of cutting, clearing, and hauling before we could finally see the shape of the park again. And let me tell you — that first pass made a world of difference.

With the grass cut and the overgrowth cleared, the place started to breathe again. You could actually see the pads, the trees, and the open sky. It felt alive for the first time in a long while.

There’s still work ahead — leveling the sites, adding gravel, and stretching them out — but cleaning up that wild jungle of grass was the first big victory. Sometimes progress starts with just one mow at a time.
